KERNAGHAN A WINNER FOR CLIFFORD PARK
NEW Year’s Eve went off with a bang at Clifford Park last weekend, with Lee Kernaghan proving to be the best live entertainment in town.
Toowoomba Turf Club played host to almost 2,500 people on Toowoomba’s biggest party night on Saturday night.
TTC Chief Executive Officer Blair Odgers said he was delighted with the response from Toowoomba, the Darling Downs and beyond.
“Our New Year’s Eve ticket sales were up 54% on last year – we attribute that primarily to the top-class entertainment of Lee Kernaghan and The Wolfe Brothers, who were amazing on-stage counting us down to 2017.
“Pre-sale tickets were up a massive 268% and our packaged event, the Colts & Fillies party, also grew by 75%,” Mr Odgers said.
