CHARITY DONATION AT CLIFFORD PARK

THREE very deserving local charities will benefit from a donation from Aussie Outdoors’ ‘Shed-U-Win’ promotion held at Clifford Park this weekend.

The Toowoomba Hospital Foundation, the Highfields Men’s Shed and the Toowoomba Hospice will each receive a generous cash donation this Saturday evening at ‘The Great Aussie Outdoor “Shed-U-Win” Gala Night’ in the Wippells Autos Grande Marquee at Clifford Park.

The Shed-U-Win promotion, which ran every month this year, also enabled Aussie Outdoor Toowoomba to reward one of its lucky customers with a $10,000 shed or patio system.

Aussie Outdoor Toowoomba Manager Kerrad Harland said the business felt it was important to “give back” to the community.

“Highfields Men’s Shed was chosen because it’s a locally-run organisation that allowed men a safe, friendly and healing environment where men are able to work on meaningful projects at their own pace in their own time in the company of other like-minded men. Another major objective is to care for the mental health and well-being of their male members and to encourage social inclusion at all levels.

“The Toowoomba Hospital Foundation does amazing with our local children, for whatever reason they are hospitalised. They have a wonderful team that endeavour to put a smile on every kid’s face and, finally, the Toowoomba Hospice will receive funds, chosen simply for their work in providing free palliative care to the terminally ill. Three very deserving beneficiaries chosen specifically by us at Metroll.

“Aussie Outdoor range of products has been developed through the Metroll Toowoomba business and this has only been possible from the ongoing support from the local community over the past 30 years.

“The Toowoomba and Darling Downs region has supported our business through the good times and the bad. It’s due to this, that we wanted to show our appreciation by giving back to local charities,” Mr Harland said.

Aussie Outdoor Toowoomba represents a quality range of engineered products designed for the Australian outdoor lifestyle. This business and its range of products was developed locally in Toowoomba and is now proudly distributed through 26 Metroll outlets nationally and into Papua New Guinea and its provinces.
