Clifford Park today announced that local media personality Lizzy King will join the team as Clifford Park’s Business Development Manager as she swaps the headphones for horses on February 1, 2016.

Lizzy has an extensive media background with over 20 years of experience in all facets of the media through print, television and more recently, the radio host on 4GR’s The Big Breakfast radio program.

Lizzy is no stranger to community projects, having been heavily involved with numerous fundraisers including Toowoomba’s annual ‘Give Me 5 For Kids’ initiative, where more than half a million dollars has been raised since inception.

Lizzy King is excited about embarking on her new career at Toowoomba’s time-honoured community venue.

“I am so excited about this new direction I am taking as I’m officially swapping headphones for horses,” said Lizzy King.

“After 13 years of presenting breakfast radio to Toowoomba and surrounds, I’ve decided to take on a new challenge as the Business Development Manager with the Toowoomba Turf Club.

“Clifford Park is an incredible asset to this area including the racing industry which is part of the lifeblood of South East Queensland.

“The Toowoomba Turf Club has so much going for it – a terrific venue with so many different function packages on offer, amazing staff and it is much loved by the community and to be a part of that, is a real honour.

“I will be promoting Clifford Park as one of Toowoomba’s premier entertainment and sporting venues, attracting business and sponsorship and growing the membership base.

“Clifford Park has something for everyone, with a strong focus on community, families and entertainment,” said King.

Toowoomba Turf Club Chief Executive Officer Blair Odgers welcomes Lizzy to the team and looks forward to the further development and growth of Clifford Park including the Audi Centre Toowoomba Weetwood on April 16, 2016.

“We are really delighted to secure such a recognisable and well-loved member of the Toowoomba community to join our community focused club,” said Blair Odgers.

“Lizzy is a timely appointment with the Club in preparation for the Audi Centre Toowoomba Weetwood, scheduled as a day meeting on April 16.

“Anyone wishing to support Toowoomba’s iconic event can contact Clifford Park in which Lizzy will assist with tailoring a partnership package,” said Odgers.
