A day at the races is a special occasion, and part of the fun is dressing for it. Whether you’re enjoying a relaxed raceday or attending a feature event, we encourage guests to embrace the style, colour and atmosphere that make raceday at Clifford Park so memorable.
To help ensure everyone enjoys a comfortable and premium experience, Clifford Park maintains simple dress standards across Members, Function and Public Areas. We kindly ask all guests to review the guidelines below before attending. Access to certain areas may be restricted if dress standards are not met.
Dress Standards
Members & Function Areas
Ladies
- Tops: Neat and modest tops in keeping with modern raceday style
- Bottoms: Tailored skirts, shorts or full-length trousers, mid-thigh length or longer.
- Dresses: Midi to maxi length; partial cut-outs permitted
- Footware: Clean sandals or heels (open or closed toe)
- Not Permitted: Excessive cut-outs, exposed midriff, excessive cleavage, ultra-mini lengths, joggers, cargo pants, leggings, activewear or beachwear
Gentlemen
- Tops: Collared polo or button-down shirt (short or long sleeves)
- Bottoms: Long dress trousers or dress jeans
- Footware: Closed-in dress shoes
- Not Permitted: Shorts of any kind, sleevesless tops, ripped or torn clothing, offensive or provocative messages, runners, trainers or sneakers
Dress Standards
Public Areas
Includes:
- General Admission Areas, Public Bars, Public Betting Auditorium and Trackside Lawns.
- The public areas offer a relaxed dress code while maintaining a respectful standard, we encourage racegoers to dress suitably, don your favourite racewear, dress to impress and be comfortable.
- Minimum respectable dress is required at all times
- Footware must be worn at all times (including children)
- Shorts, t-shirts, collared shirts, jumpers and jeans are acceptable
Clifford Park
House Policies
Clifford Park reserves the right to request patrons comply with House Policies while attending any event or raceday.
This may include:
- Requesting visible tattoos be covered
- Removal of inappropriate jewellery or clothing
- Removal of inappropriate fancy dress or props
- Confiscation of unsuitable items
- Inspection of bags when required
- Failure to comply may result in refusal of entry or removal from the venue.
