Ramsay State School is a small school with an enrolment of 43 students. It is located around 20kms south of Toowoomba on the Ramsay plateau and is home to several families on acreage and families who enjoy the personalised sharing, caring family nature of our school. This delightful school is set on nearly 20 acres of bushland just under the rim of the range. The school was established in 1881. Ramsay does not have any shops or business areas. The school is the hub of the vibrant community with great community support.
The Ramsay State School P&C are a committed and supportive group who contribute to the school by providing funding for an extra teacher to reduce class sizes.
The success of our great school is in small part due to the strong relationship between the school and the P&C. We value and support our Principal and staff so that they can help our children reach their full potential academically and socially.
Our fundraising efforts raise substantial funds so that we can help to keep the student /teacher ratio low, allowing teachers and aides to work with the students in small groups for reading, writing and mathematics. Our Race Day has become a bi-annual fundraising event and we would love to see some new faces. Come and join us for what is sure to be a great day.
