 bution of Australia’s former and current jockeys.\nHeld annually at the c
 ommencement of the Australian racing season\, this important day honours ri
 ders lost in racing accidents\, celebrates the courage and dedication of jo
 ckeys across the country\, and raises awareness for the vital work of the N
 ational Jockeys Trust.\nAll jockeys and their family members are warmly inv
 ited to attend the on-course ceremony prior to Race 1.\nThe National Jockey
 s Trust provides essential support to injured and ill jockeys\, former ride
 rs\, and their families. Since its establishment\, the Trust has assisted m
 ore than 550 jockeys and families\, providing over $6.5 million in support.
