LONG-TERM CEO BLAIR ODGERS LEAVES HIS POST
TOOWOOMBA Turf Club is on the hunt for new Chief Executive Officer, following the resignation of long-term leader Blair Odgers.
Mr Odgers has taken up a post as CEO of the Pakenham Racing Club in Victoria in December.
TTC Chairman Kent Woodford said the Club was sad to see Mr Odgers leave.
“Blair made many significant contributions for the betterment of the Toowoomba Turf Club. We are very sad to see him go but wish him the very best for his next chapter. Pakenham Racing Club is very lucky to secure his services.
“Blair has brought a sense of professionalism to the club, his insight and business knowledge has been an incredible asset. We, as a Club, have achieved so much with him at the helm.
“I can honestly say that our Weetwood race meeting wouldn’t be the incredible success that it is today, without Blair. He was an integral part in the process of introducing Weetwood as a metropolitan meeting and we are so grateful.
“In fact, we are thrilled that the Toowoomba Turf Club has produced another racing administrator that is moving on to bigger and better things. We are very proud that one of our own has learned his craft here and will do incredible things for Pakenham.”
Mr Woodford said the TTC is now considering options for the club’s next leader.
“We have an incredible management team at the club right now. The new CEO will work with the Management Board and guide our team to deliver the very best for the club’s future.
“We have had some significant changes at the club over the last few months, I want to assure our valued Members, sponsors and supporters that this is a positive step forward to the club,” Mr Woodford said.
The TTC soon provide an update on the replacement process for the Club CEO role.
