INDUSTRY TO HONOUR TOP LOCAL ACHIEVERS – PETER MOODY GUEST

Clifford Park is set to host the annual Racing Awards this Saturday night, September 10, to recognize the outstanding racing achievements from the 2015/16 season.

The 2015/16 racing season concluded on July 31 and the Clifford Park premiership winners were confirmed at the final race meeting on July 30.

Premiership winning trainer Tony Sears, jockey Skye Bogenhuber and owner Bradley Facoory are the season’s premiership winners.

The Ladbrokes Clifford Park Racing Awards will celebrate our 2015/16 premiership winners, in addition to a number of industry awards for exceptional achievements at Clifford Park, highlighted by the naming of the 2015/16 Clifford Park Horse of the Year.

 

Top achievers will be recognised in the following categories;

  • Strike Rate Trainer – sponsored by Moore Stephens
  • Strike Rate Owner – sponsored by K & R Plumbing Supplies

  • Apprentice Jockey of the Year – sponsored by Hannas Toowoomba
  • Premiership Owner of the Year – sponsored by Trackside Photography
  • Premiership Jockey of the Year – sponsored by Toowoomba Land Rover
  • Premiership Trainer of the Year – sponsored by Cracker Print & Paper

 

Toowoomba Turf Club Horse of the Year finalists are derived from the monthly nominees throughout the season, recognizing outstanding achievements at Clifford Park.

Horse of the Year finalists include; Payback (August), Greyt Start (September), G’day Old Mate (October), Scenic Road (November), Just A Pearla (December), Mandryka (January), Flying Riddle (February), Brave Dazzler (March), Choice Bro (April), Oggie (May), Free Billy (June) and Isla Poppy (July).

Clifford Park is also thrilled to announce that major racing identity Peter Moody (trainer of the legendary Black Caviar) will feature as guest speaker – thanks to the awards night’s major sponsor, Ladbrokes. Moody is a Ladbrokes ambassador.

TTC Chief Executive Officer Blair Odgers encourages the local community to attend Clifford Park’s night of nights and celebrate with our local sporting stars.

With no racing scheduled at Clifford Park on Saturday 10, the TTC Racing Awards will commence at 6.30pm and tickets can be purchased by contacting the TTC Office on 07 4634 6066.

Tickets are available for purchase for $65 per person (non-Member) and $60 per person (Members).
