KRIS SMITH ATTENDING WEETWOOD

MODEL Kris Smith will jump out of the African jungle and into a suit for the Audi Centre Toowoomba Weetwood on Saturday, April 8.

The hunky TV presenter and current star of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here has confirmed he will attend Clifford Park’s biggest racing event of the year after he exits the jungle, thanks to Create Home Loans in Toowoomba.

Smith, a former UK rugby league star and Myer fashion ambassador, loves attending racing events, often spotted in Sydney and Melbourne.

Smith will be based in the GC Event Hire Fashion Passport Marquee function, thanks to the team at Create Home Loans. He will feature as one of the judges for this year’s Hannas Fashions On The Field, alongside 2017 Face Of Weetwood Robyn Carter, 2016 Fashions On The Field winner Karen Wade and Brisbane milliner Pam Cameron.

The GC Event Hire Fashion Passport Marquee is a stunning, silk-lined marquee overlooking the mounting yard and is adjacent to the Hannas Fashions On The Field stage.

Tickets for this function space and others for Weetwood day and associated Weetwood Week events – including the Audi Centre Toowoomba VIP Grande Marquee, the VIP Chairman’s Lounge and more – are on sale now. The dedicated Weetwood site can be found at www.weetwood.com.au

Toowoomba Turf Club Chief Executive Officer Blair Odgers encouraged racegoers to purchase their tickets for the Audi Centre Toowoomba Weetwood early to avoid disappointment.

“We are delighted to have Kris Smith as our special celebrity guest for the GC Event Hire Fashion Passport Marquee and thrilled that Hannas are back on board as our major partner for Weetwood’s Fashions On The Field.

“Clifford Park is also excited to welcome Queensland rugby league legend Alfie Langer as guest speaker for our revamped Ladbrokes Calcutta Sportsman’s Lunch on Friday, April 7.

“This year’s Weetwood is again part of the Queensland Winter Racing Carnival and the TTC are buoyed by the success of last year’s event.

“The Weetwood is a community event and we have ensured the race day and associated Weetwood events feature something for everyone – from our newest racing enthusiasts, through to our most-seasoned followers.

“We encourage the community to embrace all things Weetwood and appreciate one of the longest spring handicaps in Australia – an achievement that, as a community, we should be very proud of,” Mr Odgers said.
